How To Get On Xbox Live
Xbox Live is the multiplayer setup used by Microsoft for its Xbox 360 console and you need to learn how to get on Xbox Live if you want to fully enjoy your gaming console. This service allows you to easily play online on any Xbox 360 games that support online play, along with a plethora of other features. You can download game demos, listen to music, check out Netflix and Facebook or other features that add plenty of value to your Live account. This monthly subscription service does not automatically log you on once you have set it up on your Xbox 360. You have to sign in in order to access all of the features available to you.
Things you'll need to get on Xbox Live:
- Internet connection
- Xbox Live Gold account
- Connect your Xbox 360 to your modem or router using an ethernet cable. The ethernet cable should have been included with your console, but if not, you can purchase the cable rather cheaply.
- Turn your Xbox 360 on. You do not need a game in the console in order to connect to Xbox Live. Just power up the system normally and let it boot all the way up.
- Hit the Xbox button on your Xbox 360 controller. Choose the option labeled "Connect to Xbox Live."
- Log in to the profile associated with the Xbox Live account on your console. The console will connect to Xbox Live and allow you to access all of the Live features. If you have not connected to Xbox Live before, most likely you will download a system update.
