If you have lost your voice, you can learn how to get your voice back. Losing your voice isn't a big deal because it happens in anyone's lifetime. Instead of visiting a doctor, you can take care of it on your own. The following steps will show you how to get your voice back.

To get your voice back, you will need:

  • Warm drinking water
  • Half Lemon
  • Honey (1-2 teaspoons)
  • Dried Kumquats
  • Salt
  • Cup
  • Warm running tap water
  • Spoon
  • Mandarin oranges
  • Oven
  • Baking Tray

Steps

  1. Take care of your mouth's hygiene. The first step is to make sure that your mouth is germ-free. Forget the mouth rinse from the store. You can make your own mouth rinse with salt and water. Grab a cup and get some warm running tap water. Put salt in it and stir the mouth rinse with a spoon. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with it for at least a minute. Do this every morning and night. It is recommended to rinse your mouth every time after you eat.
  2. Try remedies throughout the day. The second step is to use these 3 remedies. The first one is the dried Kumquats. You can get them at the Asian market. Suck on one whenever you feel that your throat is dried. The second one is the honey lemon drink. Put the honey and lemon in the cup. Then add warm drinking water and stir it well with a spoon. You can drink it whenever you want to. Make sure that you drink it slowly. The last one is the baked Mandarin oranges. You can get the Mandarin oranges at the Asian market. Wash them and open them without peeling off the skin. Sprinkle salt on top of the Mandarin oranges. Put them on the baking tray. Bake them for 5 minutes in oven at 350 F. You can eat them when they are warm.
  3. Watch your diet and habits. The last step is to pay close attention to what you eat. Stay away from the following items: alcohol, cigars, fried and spicy food, iced and frozen treats, etc. According to David Otis Castonguay at Radford University, most of these items can affect your vocal health directly.

You can get your voice back by taking these three steps. Although no one can avoid losing his or her voice, you can deal with it smoothly when it happens. The great news is that you are your own doctor.
