How To Have A Great First Date
How to have a great first date is a question that many people ask when planning for the event. One of the most important things to remember when planning for a great first date is to plan something that will be enjoyable for both parties. Instead of planning for your first date to be romantic as possible, just make it fun.
- Plan for conversation. One of the great first date killers is long stretches of uncomfortable silence. No matter what you do on your first date, what you talk about will be a big part of it. Think of a few topics in advance that you can bring up instead of spending time uncomfortable and wishing you could think of something to say.
- Plan an activity to do during the date. A great first date is often not a dinner or another situation in which the conversation is the only real activity. If you can do something together, such as pottery painting, apple picking, hiking or something else that will keep you each engaged in the activity, it can relieve some of the pressure that many people feel during a first date.
- Watch your date's body language. If your date is having fun, you likely will too. To have a great first date, be attentive and make sure that your date isn't spending the date with her arms crossed or staying at a distance from you. If her body language is closed, she is not receptive to the activity. Even if you have planned the activity precisely, don't be afraid to change the activity if your date doesn't enjoy it. Changing to suit her will show her that you care.
