A few simple steps can teach individuals how to have no sex before marriage. Some individuals believe that one should sustain from having sexual intercourse before marriage. They believe sex before marriage can destroy a relationship and end up in a breakup. Others do it because of religious views while others want to save themselves for that special person.

  1. Hang around married people. Surround yourself around individuals that are married and will continue to remind you of how beautiful marriage can be. Have them constantly remind you of why you are waiting to have premarital sex.
  2. Write out goals. Write your goals and the reasons you are waiting to have sex. Post them everywhere. Keep a copy in your bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and car. These constant reminders will have a great impact on your thoughts.
  3. Educate yourself on sexually transmitted diseases. Get reading pamphlets from a doctor’s office, or brush up on your online reading. STD literature is a sure way to make you want to wait before having sex with your partner, especially if you are not sure of their past sexual history.
  4. Try babysitting or borrow a friend’s or relative’s baby for a day. There’s nothing like a day of stepping into a parent role to give you a rude awakening. Before having sex there are a lot of things to take into consideration. These small techniques will definitely keep individuals thinking about why not to have sex before marriage.
