How To Hold A Paintball Gun
Paintball is a really fun sport, but many people find themselves asking how to hold a paintball gun properly. While it’s really a matter of preference when it comes to choosing the right way to hold a paintball gun, there is one way that works for almost anyone when it comes to holding a paintball gun. If you’re looking to improve your game or you’re just starting out, check out this guide that teaches you the correct way to hold and position your paintball gun.
- Hold the gun in such a way that the CO2 tank rests firmly against your armpit and shoulder. This position helps paintball players to get a firm grip on their gun and this position also helps to manage recoil from the gun.
- Make sure the hopper does not rise against your head. The hopper is essentially the tank that houses the paintballs. The CO2 tank resting against your armpit should position the hopper so that it doesn’t rise against your head. If you are resting the tank against your armpit and you find that the hopper is significantly higher than your head, re-adjust the position of the CO2 tank to lower it.
- Use your free hand to grip the fore grip. While gripping this piece of the paintball gun, be sure to keep your arms close to your sides to lessen your exposure to the enemy.
- Aim with the hand on the fore grip. Basically, you should never aim your paintball gun using your gun hand. That arm is strictly meant to work the trigger and that’s the sole task that it should be performing. Use your free hand on the foregrip to do all of the aiming and support the weight of the gun.
