How To Increase Confidence
Once you know how to increase confidence, you will be able to tackle things that previously intimidated you. Increase your confidence in order to give yourself the boost you need to ask out your attractive co-worker or the beautiful woman who lives down the street. More confidence can also help you in other areas of your life. Increased confidence can help you get a raise, a new and better job or a better deal on a car or house.
- Focus on the good. When you look in the mirror in the morning, look at your good aspects. If you have nice hair or perfectly straight teeth, increase your confidence by focusing on those. Ignore the lines appearing on your face or the zit that popped up overnight.
- If you can't find anything good in your appearance, do something to improve it. Buy a suit or a pair of jeans that flatter you to increase your level of confidence. Get a better haircut or visit the dentist for a teeth cleaning.
- Set one attainable goal for each day. Your daily goals don't have to be big, but they do have to be something you can get done. Once you see that you can accomplish the things you set out to do, you'll get a boost in your confidence and will be more likely to set bigger and better goals.
- Take a risk. Sometimes you just need to jump, whether it is regarding asking the woman of your dreams out or asking your boss for better pay. If the idea terrifies you, take a minute to consider what will happen if you take the risk versus what will happen if you don't. If you go ahead and take it, odds are you may get what you want. If you never do, you'll never get what you want. You can't increase confidence without going out on a limb every so often.
