1. Find the inflating hole. There is a small, discolored circle on the side of the tennis ball. Look carefully, because the hole is so small that many people do not even know it's there. The inflating hole is within the discolored circle. The inflating hole in the tennis ball is less than a millimeter wide.
2. Insert the needle into the used tennis ball. The needle should be small enough to insert into the tennis ball. Be sure to not force any parts into the side of the tennis ball that does not fit. Doing so could make it impossible to inflate the used tennis ball.
3. Turn on your inflating device. Once you turn on the inflating device, then air should begin to inflate the used tennis ball. It does not take long to inflate a used tennis ball, so watch it closely so that it does not bust due to too much air. Inflate the used tennis ball with just enough air. If the used tennis ball does not seem to hold air, then check to see if your needle is in correctly. If not, then your ball may have a punctured hole somewhere.
