What you will need:
- Large glass container with lid
- Unsweetened cocoa powder
- Coffee strainer
Infuse your vodka:
Decide on what vodka you want to use. Your vodka can be any quality, but choosing a more high quality brand will leave you with a much better end result. Personally, using Absolut vodka comes out great. Measure out 25 ounces into your glass container.
Choose your cocoa powder, making sure that it is unsweetened. Choose one that makes for a more rich chocolate flavor when infusing vodka. You will be using one cup of cocoa powder for ever 25 ounces of vodka.
Add your one cup of cocoa powder to the vodka in your glass container. Shake the container to ensure that the cocoa and vodka is well mixed.
Find a cool dark place in your home that will not be disturbed often, like a closet, and leave your container.
Shake your chocolate infused vodka a week later. On the last day of the second week, shake it again and give it a little taste. You can consider the vodka to be "done" at this stage, however, the vodka can be left to infuse for up to four weeks if you think it needs more time to blend. If you choose to leave it for longer, make sure to shake it once a week.
Strain your chocolate vodka mixture through the coffee strainer and funnel it into another glass bottle. Since you will be serving your chocolate vodka out of this container, try to choose one that looks nice. You may even want to make decorating the container into a craft project.
Drink and be merry! Have your friends over to try out your homemade chocolate infused vodka.
