You just got the newest high-definition receiver, but just thinking how to install a cable box to a plasma TV blows your mind. A 1080p television is nothing without some good high-definition channels to view on it, so you might want to install a cable box to a plasma TV at some point. Granted, Blu-ray is excellent technology that offers the best picture when it comes to movies. Yet, connecting a cable box to a plasma TV is something you're eventually going to have to do. After all, they've got packages with over 1,000 channels on them nowadays!

Required materials before installing a cable box to a plasma TV:

  • 780p, 1080i, 1080p or other type of high-definition plasma television
  • A muscular friend
  • Television stand
  • Cable box
  • Cables
  • Subscription to a cable TV provider's network
  1. Mount the television. If you haven't already, call up a muscular family member or friend who can adequately lift things. If you require a TV stand, have it on hand or be prepared to connect a cable box to a plasma TV with wall hooks to support the flat screen.
  2. Find the female cable plug on your cable box. Your cable converter television box, commonly called the "cable box," is a piece of equipment that translates digital signals into that pretty 1080p resolution you see in front of you. On the back of the box should be the female end of your cable plug. It will stick out, possess screw marks on the side and have a tiny hole directly in the center.
  3. Find the female television plug on your plasma TV. To install a cable box to a plasma TV, we'll need to find both female connectors. It will look exactly like the one on the rear of your converter box; this should be located on the lower part of the panel.
  4. Use your male cable plug to fit into the cable box and television. You will now finally configure a cable box to a plasma TV. Just screw in the long, cable-dense wire into both the box and television back-panel to connect them.
  5. Turn on the television and configure things. Depending on your service provider, setup might be minimal or nonexistent. Your television might ask you what language to use for its own purposes. Do this after properly securing the cable box to a plasma TV (your plasma TV).

It's not too hard to configure a cable box to a plasma TV and the task won't require much technical knowledge. Yet, make sure to install the cable box to a plasma TV with the right tools to ensure your television experience will contain minimal hassle!
