If you have decided to purchase a hot tub, your next question would be how to install a hot tub? You will need to decide whether you want to install it yourself or hire a professional. This decision can be based on your personal DIY experience as well as the regulations in your city. Some cities require you to have a professional install your hot tub as well as certain permits to obtain in order to install the hot tub. - Electrical and gas hook ups
- Concrete pad
- Pick the best spot for your hot tub. You want to find a spot that is convenient for you in more ways than one. For example, you want it close to your house, so you do not have to go far. It also has to be close enough to be able to hook the plumbing up properly. It should be based on concrete surface in order to hold the weight of the hot tub.

Gather all equipment to have it near and available for use. There is nothing worse than getting in the swing of working on your project and you have to stop to find parts. Make sure everything listed above is in arms reach. It is even better to have someone there to help you, they can pass you the proper equipment or read the steps out to you to save time.
- Set up electrical and gas lines. You will need to call your electric company to assist you with the heating. Setting up an additional line for the hot tub is best. The recommended voltage for the electrical line is 240V for the pump.
- Follow the instructions listed in your manual. Each hot tub will have their own special instructions based on the model. Follow the instructions that pertain to your model. It will also vary based on the finish of your hot tub.

Save plumbing connections for the end. Once you have assembled the hot tub as per the instruction, it is time to hook up the lines. Connect everything tightly and if needed reference pictures to your model to be sure that you hooked it up properly.

Make sure everything is in working order. Now is the time to make sure you have done the job properly. Test the water lines and the heater. Make sure the pumps are working correctly. If you have a professional assisting you, have them inspect the hot tub to make sure it is running properly and ready for water to be added.
- Add water. If you have a direct line to your hot tub then this will be an easy step. Turn the water on to fill the hot tub to the recommended level. If you are using a hose do the same with the hose.
