So you promised your wife you will re-shingle the roof to save some money and now you need to learn how to install a shingle roof. Don't worry, shingling a roof is simple to do. It is time consuming, but if you get some friends together to help it can be accomplished in a weekend or two, depending how big your roof is. Before you get started you are going to need some materials.
 

To install a shingle roof, you will need:

• Hammer
• Shingles
• Nails
• Nail gun
• Dumpster or somewhere to dispose of trash.
• Ladder

1. The first step to shingling your roof is to take off the old shingles. This is done by using a the end of the hammer to pry off all the shingles. Once they are off, throw them away.

2. The second step to shingling your roof is to take some shingles and use your nail gun to start nailing them down until the roof is covered with shingles. Start at the end of the roof and slowly work your way to the front. Be careful and do not fall off. If there is a weak spot in your roof, make sure it is fixed before you start to shingle the roof. If you decide to wait, you will need to repeat this whole process. Congratulations! You now know to shingle your roof.

• Make sure you buy plastic to cover your roof in case it rains while you are working.
