  1. Step 1: This is the most important step so do not forget to attach the engine shut-off clip to your wrist. If you forget and fall off the jet ski, you can end up injuring yourself and other people. Also, make sure that your life jacket is securely fastened and start up the jet ski. The fun begins.
  2. Step 2: Slowly engage the throttle and keep your speed at the lowest level until you leave the dock or the bay area. Do not exceed 10 mph or you will get in trouble with the local coastguard.
  3. Step 3: The next step in learning how to jet ski is to practice making turns at a low speed so that you can get used to turning on a jet ski. Once you feel comfortable making turns at a low speed, slowly increase you speed and start doing zigzags in order to make sure you can turn at those speeds.
  4. Step 4: The fourth and final step in learning how to jet ski is to give it some gas and enjoy the open water. You have now successfully learned how to jet ski.
