Word has quickly spread on the Internet that Emily said yes to John, but how did John Krasinski propose to Emily Blunt? John and Emily have always kept their relationship on the down-low. This includes sharing information on the romantic proposal. However, they have thrown fans a few morsels to satisfy the hunger for detail.
John Krasinski, who plays Jim on NBC’s “The Office”, did an interview with Access Hollywood where he spilled the beans, or tipped the beans as the case may be. At first, he joked about the appearance of unicorns, oceans, and clouds before the proposal, making for a perfect night to propose. Then John got serious and said the entire proposal was low key with no bells and whistles. He simply got down on one knee and asked her. She, of course, said yes and cried, which made him cry in return. John told Access Hollywood they had not set a date and did not plan to have any children in the foreseeable future. They just wanted to enjoy being with each other for now.
On the flip side of the coin, Emily Blunt interviewed with MTV. She also started the proposal questioning off with a joke about flutes playing in the background, butterflies fluttering around, and angels showering rainbow raindrops upon them. MTV asked Emily if she and John got engaged as a PR ploy for “The Office.” While Emily played along with that scenario for a fraction of a second, she quickly put the kibosh on the rumor and said it was the real deal. She did back up John’s statement that they have not set a date and have no plans to have children anytime soon.
