- Hot Water
- Bleach
- Laundry detergent
- liquid soap
- Soil the sock in soap. It can be hard to keep socks white when they are drenched in sweat and dirt. For those thick stains you will want to use a liquid soap on the sock. Pour it directly on the stain or soiled area. You can also use stain removers. You will want to let this set for at least 30 minutes. If your socks are still white, you will not need to do this.
- Wash your socks in hot water. Hot water is great to keep socks white. Use your choice of detergent and bleach. If you are washing a full load of whites, use about a cup of bleach. Try not to use too much bleach. Although it keeps your socks white it can also damage them. The great thing about bleach is that it also kills germs. This will keep fungus from growing on your feet.
- Wash them often. To keep socks white, they should be washed often. If you let dirty socks set it will be harder to get stains or sweat out. You will not need to use a washing machine every time you want to wash your socks. Using a washing machine can become costly and a waste of water. You can also wash them in the tub or sink. If you wash them by hand, scrub hard and rinse well.
