Learning how to knock someone out in one punch is not exactly a science. There is no guarantee that it will occur, though there are some ways in which it commonly occurs. Take the following considerations into account to learn how to knock someone out in one punch.

  1. Identify the target and the best method. There are plenty of opinions on the "knockout punch." In boxing, the target is believed to be on the chin with an upward punch. The uppercut is perhaps the best punch for delivering the knockout blow. As the uppercut is effective in striking the chin and head in an upward motion, it represents the best choice in terms of the punch.
  2. Be patient in the timing and in the opening. Obviously you're less likely to deliver the knockout punch when the fight starts. Wear your opponent down and take mental notes of your opponent's tendencies. Does your opponent let down his guard during a certain punch or movement? If so, such information is invaluable in choosing a time to try to knockout your opponent in one punch.
  3. Speed and power are key. When trying to knockout your opponent in one punch, burst upwards with speed and power in your uppercut. Follow through to develop maximum speed and power.
  4. Be ready. If the knockout punch isn't successful, you should be ready to stay aggressive depending on how your opponent reacts, or if you make good contact.  At any rate, develop your uppercut to try to implement the one punch knockout in your repertoire.
