How To Know I Am Not In Love

Relationships are confusing, so you need to know how to know that you are not in love. Often times people will confuse love with lust or loyalty. You need to know if you are really in love or not, so you can decided if you want to invest any more time in the relationship. Pay attention, so you will know how to know that you are not in love.

1. You don't put the person's needs ahead of your needs. When you are truly in love, you will always put the other person's needs ahead of your own needs, so if you are not doing this then you know that you are not in love. If you are really in love you will do this because you want to. This means if you are putting someone else's needs ahead of yours, but you have a bad attitude doing it, then you know that you are not in love.
2. You try to find excuses to be away from the person. If you are always looking for an excuse to get away from the person, then you know that you are not in love. If you are really in love you would be looking for excuses to spend more time with this person. In fact, when you are truly in love with someone, you can't stop thinking about wanting to be with that person.
3. You resent doing stuff that they want to do. In any relationship you will have to do some things that you don't want to do. However, when you start resenting doing things that the other person wants to do, you will know that you are not in love. If you are in love you will happy to do things that you don't really want to do in order to make your partner happy. For example if you resent spending time with your partner's family, even though, you know it is extremely important to your partner, then you probably are not in love.
4. You don't want to be alone with them. A sure sign that you are not in love with someone is when you never want to be alone with them. If you find that the only time you want to be with your partner is in a group setting, then you know that you are not in love. This doesn't mean that you are not if love if you like be around a group of people. It just means that if would rather spend more time in a group setting then alone with your partner, then you are not in love.
5. You can't picture your future with them. Take a few minutes and picture what you want you life to look like in five years. If you don't see your partner in your future, then you know that you are not in love. If you were in love as soon as you think of your future you would think about your current partner. If you can't picture this person in your future, then starting considering getting out of the relationship.
