How To Know If You Are Gay

If you are wondering how to know if you are gay, you have come to the right place. Figuring out if you are gay, straight or bisexual can be a time consuming and confusing process. For others, there is no thought involved at all. If you think you might be gay and are trying to figure it out, there are a few questions you can ask yourself to help to know if you are gay.

  1. Do I fantasize about members of the same sex? While it is common to fantasize about same-sex individuals and still remain straight, if you are only fantasizing about people of the same sex, then you are probably leaning more towards gay than straight.
  2. Am I attracted to my same-sex friends? Take a look at your relationships with your friends. Do you feel that you are attracted to your same-sex friends? If you find that you are constantly trying to find ways to be alone with a same-sex friend, you are probably looking for more than friendship.
  3. How do I feel about my previous sexual experiences? If your previous sexual experiences have made you feel good about yourself, then you are on the right track. However, if you have had sexual experiences with people of the opposite sex that you feel were a big mistake, you might need to look at your sexuality in a different light.

Figuring out your sexual preferences is a different experience for each person questioning his sexuality. The process can be slow, but you have the rest of your life to figure it out. Take your time and get to know yourself.
