If you are wondering how to land a job at a golf course, you've come to the right place. A golf course can be rife with jobs. It just depends on what part of the golf course you'd like to work in. There's the pro shop, which mainly deals with golfers who want to play and golf apparel. Then there's a host of departments that vary depending on the size of the operation, such as maintenance, grounds, cooks, waiters, bartenders, among others. Here's how to land a job at a golf course.

  1. Scour job-related web sites. Try Monster or Careerbuilder to land a job at a golf course. If so, create a profile and apply online. Some sites will allow you to apply for the job right on the site, while others will give you the contact information of the person in charge, your source of contact to help you land a job at a golf course.
  2. Search the classifieds. Pick up the local paper, or even the biggest regional one. The hard copy of the newspaper would likely feature more jobs, however, a simple web search of the newspaper's classified could also help.
  3. Visit golf courses. Many people land jobs at a golf course just by stopping at the course to see if there are jobs available. Talk to the general manager of the establishment, or the head golf professional, to see if you can land a job at a golf course. To do this, simply flip through the phone book to see if there are golf courses are around your home. Also, try a simple web search of local golf courses.
  4. Visit larger, national organizations, such as the PGA of America. The PGA of America has a "joblink" section that features a number of jobs all across the country.
