Learning how to land kickflips is all about learning the proper technique to perform the trick. This kickflip is also called the 360 flip or tre flip. No matter the name, the technique of the kickflip is important to the art of landing kickflips. Learning how to kickflip and sticking it is all apart of the trick. The process below will dissect the landing of a kickflips after the proper technique is employed to pull of the kickflip. To land a kickflip you will need:

  • Skateboard
  • Skateboarding gear
  • Place to perform
  1. When you are in the air, it is important to hold your arm out to your sides. Balance is important in landing the trick. Just as much as the proper technique in pulling off the trick, balance is key.
  2. As you descend, you must be right over the skateboard. If not the trick is a failure. The skateboard must be beneath you. As you come down the skateboard will land on its wheels.
  3. When your feet impact the deck, be sure to bed your knees. You may also want to bend and the waist and keep your hands out. Maintain your balance and complete the run.

Be sure to respect the kickflip trick and put on your protective gear on. Also, make sure you have enough room so others won’t get hurt should you loose control of the skateboard or fall awkwardly.
