If you have a special event or occasion coming up, look your best by learning how to lose belly fat in 1 week. That isn't a long time to make a huge difference. The good thing is that the stomach area tends to lose weight or lose bloat quicker than other areas. You won't be able to lose a substantial amount of weight but you will lose enough to make a difference in your appearance.

To lose belly fat in one week, you will need:

  • Vegetables
  • Healthy fats
  1. Eliminate all refined carbohydrates from your diet. That doesn't mean to eliminate all carbs as they are necessary to function. Refined carbohydrates include white rice, white pasta and doughnuts. Whenever possible, substitute those foods with their whole-wheat counterparts.
  2. Eat more vegetables. To lose belly fat in one week, reduce side dishes to a leafy green salad or broccoli. Green vegetables are extremely healthy, in addition to being lower in calories. Just avoid using butter or salad dressing on them.
  3. Avoid foods that contain salt. Sometimes you think that you are carrying belly fat when really it's just bloating from salt. Check labels carefully.
  4. Eat limited amounts of healthy fats. This may seem counter-intuitive for losing belly fat in one week. Healthy fats, such as avocados and olive oil, can actually help you lose weight. They tend to be filling, which means that you can reduce portion sizes. Healthy fats add flavor and help you feel full which will reduce the possibility of you snacking on bad things.
  5. Perform intense cardiovascular exercises every day for one week. Spend at least one hour per day doing exercise such as running, swimming or doing the elliptical machine. If you don't workout regularly, don't do too much and end up with an injury.

Tips:

Get fitted for the proper shoes before performing cardiovascular exercise.
