Learning how to lose weight in 7 days is not going to be easy. You have a lifetime of bad habits and weaknesses to correct. However, the good news is that if you are dedicated and persistent enough, you can begin to shed pounds quickly. In fact, just by making a few minor changes, you can begin to lose that weight in as little as one week. So why not get off that couch and try something different? Who knows, you just might be able to lose weight in as little as 7 days.

  1. First, it is important to note that crash diets are not healthy. Any diet that promises quick, miraculous results should probably be left alone. If you really want to lose weight in 7 days, you have to be willing to make changes and stick to them. This is not just a one-week dieting program. These are changes that should last you a lifetime.
  2. If you want to lose weight in 7 days, soda has to be the first thing you cut from your diet. A single bottle of soda can hold as many as 250 calories. Even diet sodas, which boast that they contain virtually no calories, are no good for you. Diet soda, as well as regular soda, traps fat, making getting rid of it and losing weight virtually impossible. Now, if you do not think that you can entirely eliminate soda from your diet, consider making it a treat. Maybe it is something you drink once a week, or on a special occasion.
  3. Cardio, cardio, cardio. If you are looking for results, and want to lose weight, then you are going to have to get up and move around. Now, this does not have to be some huge, monumental undertaking. You can simply start by walking ten or fifteen minutes a couple times a day. When this becomes easy, start increasing the intensity level. The key is to get your heart rate up and your blood pumping throughout your cardiovascular system. Now, for this to work you are going to have to do this many times a week, not just two or three times. A good exercise program should be at least four times, if not more, a week.
  4. Make healthy meal choices. Believe it or not, it really is that easy. You will be surprised at how quickly you can lose weight simply by making minor changes in your meals. For instance, when you go out, ask for the lunch portion instead of the dinner portion. And who said that fries had to be the standard side to every meal? Get vegetables or a dinner salad. At home, try to control your portions better. You can actually keep your regular meals—dinner, lunch and breakfast—the same, if you eat smaller portions and snack on healthier foods. Celery, grapes, popcorn and even chips and salsa are great healthy snack alternatives.
  5. In the end, it really all just boils down to your dedication. If you want to lose weight in 7 days, and then hope to keep it off, you are going to have to be focused. So start by making simple, minor adjustments. You will be surprised at how these small changes can snowball into a healthier lifestyle.
