There are healthy weighs to lose weight, which do not necessarily mean a large change in one’s eating habits but just healthier ones.

  1. A diary should be kept each day to keep track of the liquids and solid foods the person is consuming. This diary will show the necessary changes that need to take place in order to lose the extra weight in a healthy way. Dates and times should be included in the diary.
  2. Water should be drunk on a daily basis. Eight to ten glasses of water should be consumed throughout the day. The water should be taken at intervals and before mealtime to decrease the amount of food, which is consumed. Water is known to stop cravings and will decrease the appetite as it naturally fills the stomach before eating a meal. This will help the body lose the weight in a healthy way.
  3. Exercise and Walking should be done daily and over time the length of the walk can be increased. Walking is a gently way to help the body rid itself of the extra weight in a healthy way. It also improves circulation as well as strengthening the heart and lungs.
  4. Fresh Vegetables and fruit should be consumed everyday. The amount of the servings will depend on the diet the doctor has prescribed for the person. Usually two to four servings are plenty of each on a daily basis will help the body get rid of extra weight in a healthy way.
  5. Fish and poultry should alternate every other day regarding meals. Fish and poultry are much healthier then red meat. They provide the body easy digestion as poultry and fish are easier to break down by the body. Eating two servings of one of the choices should occur every day.

Following a diet regime and exercise also will help the body get in better shape. A change of lifestyle needs to occur for a person to regain their health. Once the person feels better he will want to keep up the good work of losing the weight in a healthy way.
