How To Make A Belladonna
Need to know how to make a Belladonna? A Belladonna is a cocktail that evokes visions of the Caribbean and white-sand beaches. If you like rum and fruity drinks, then the Belladonna will soon become one of your favorites. This drink is similar to a Mai Tai, so be sure to have plenty of cocktail umbrellas on hand to complement this festive drink.
To make a Belladonna, you will need:
- A collins glass
- A cocktail shaker
- Ice
- Dark rum
- Light rum
- Cranberry juice
- Orange juice
- Pineapple juice
- An orange slice
- A cocktail umbrella
- Make the Belladonna. You should fill your cocktail shaker about halfway with ice. Then, add one ounce dark rum, one ounce light rum and one ounce each of the cranberry, orange and pineapple juice. Then shake the Belladonna vigorously.
- Pour the Belladonna. Once you have made your Belladonna, you will need to strain the drink into a collins glass that you previously filled with ice.
- Garnish the Belladonna. Now add the orange slice to the rim of the glass and insert your cocktail umbrella, and you're ready to enjoy your drink!
For some variety, you can change some of the fruit juices used or add additional ones. Grapefruit juice is a popular variation, and a splash of lime juice will also add a nice touch to this classic. Experimenting with the ingredients could be lots of fun and just may result in a new favorite drink. Just add some sunshine and water and you are ready to enjoy your Belladonna on a relaxing day at the beach or pool.
