How To Make A Chow In Mah Jongg
Many people, when first learning the game, wonder how to make a Chow in Mah Jongg. Mah Jongg is a fun and challenging game. The rules of Mah Jongg, however, can be difficult to learn. If you are playing a computer based Mah Jongg game, it is likely that a Chow is not possible. This is because most online Mah Jongg games do not follow the traditional rules of game play. If you are playing traditional Mah Jongg, the following guide will help you make a Chow in Mah Jongg.
To make a chow in Mah Jongg, you will need:
- A Mah Jongg tile set or a traditional computer based Mah Jongg game
- Three Opponents
- A Chow that is created within a player's hand does not need to be announced. This includes tiles drawn and tiles originally dealt to the player. If you cannot make a Chow in your hand continue to step two.
- To make a Chow from the discard pile, you must pick up a tile from the player sitting to your left. You may not pick up a discarded tile from any player besides the one sitting to your left.
-
You must have two tiles that will make a Chow with the additional tile you will pick up from the discard.
-
You must announce that you intend to make a Chow at the beginning of your turn by shouting "Chow".
-
Next, you should pick up the tile, but not place it in your hand.
-
Place all three tiles of the Chow face-up in front of your hand.
-
Discard a tile to complete your turn.
