How To Make Climbing Rope For Birds

Learning how to make a climbing rope for birds is not too difficult. Only a few materials are required, and pet birds can have great times utilizing these ropes. Here is how to make a climbing rope for birds.

Materials you will need:

  • Rope, one half inch in diameter by two feet in length
  • Three wooden rectangles, three to four inches in length by one inch by one inch
  • Scissors
  • Drill with one half inch drill bit
  1. First, purchase all of the necessary materials. Crafts stores or building supply stores will have what you need to get started.
  2. Next, cut a two foot long section out of a one half inch thick rope.
  3. tie a square not close to the bottom of the two foot rope segment.
  4. Then, drill a one half inch hole in the center of all three wooden rectangles.
  5. Feed one rectangle over the rope so that it may be slid down to the square not near the bottom from the long end.
  6. Tie another knot in the rope about halfway through its length. Slide another block down the rope to rest above this knot.
  7. Tie a final knot near the top of the rope, and slide the final wooden rectangular block down onto this.
  8. Hang the rope from the top of a bird cage. Any pet bird may now use the climbing rope toy.

Learning how to make a climbing rope for birds is not very hard. All that is required for its construction is some time, and a few key materials.
