To make a first aid kit, you will need the following:

• Band aids - it is advisable to carry several different sizes
• Gauze
• Antibacterial lotion or gel
• Antibiotic ointment or creme
• Alcohol pads
• Antiseptic pads
• Cotton balls or cotton pads
• Cotton swabs
• Aspirin
• Hydrocortisone cream
• Cold compress
• Oral thermometer
• Disposable gloves
• List of emergency contact information
• Water resistant container

1. To prepare your first aid kit, begin by placing similar items into small, plastic bags in order to make them easier to find: all cotton products into one bag. This includes the cotton swabs and cotton balls or pads. All of the cremes into one bag. This includes the antibacterial gel, hydrocortisone cream, antibiotic ointment, alcohol pads, and antiseptic pads. Lastly, the gauze and band aids together in a bag.
