Learning how to make harlequin cocktail? Good news—this is where you will find a great recipe. Learning how to make any cocktail can be tough, but in the end it’s very rewarding, and can save you a boatload of cash. How about staying home and having a small cocktail party with your close friends, instead of going out?
To make a harlequin cocktail, you will need:
- Crushed Ice
- French Vermouth
- Pink Lemonade
- Lemon Syrup
- Garnish (if you like)
- To start your old school harlequin cocktail you want to have your shaker ready with crushed iced filled half way. You want to make sure you have a shaker because as always stirring this drink will not give it any justice, and you will be surprised how a shaker can change the harlequin cocktail. Of course your crushed ice is important because combining these ingredients warm is not gonna cut it. You want to make sure that the crushed ice can cool these ingredients.
- Now that your shaker and ice are ready for this tasty cocktail, you will want to add your liquors to your shaker. Starting with your gin, add 1 oz, and then continue with your vermouth adding another 1 oz. The amounts of liquor you add are very important due to the mixology of it all, so if you want a harlequin cocktail follow measurements closely.
- Now that you have your liquors measured out into your shaker, add your ½ oz of lemonade, ½ oz of pink lemonade, and ½ oz of lemon syrup to the mix. These are important to the harlequin cocktail because they add different and sweet flavors to this delicious cocktail that you will come to love. Make sure you shake your shaker very well, and pour into a chilled cocktail glass when you are ready.
- If you’re having company over, or a cocktail party, feel free to dress your cocktail glasses up with some garnishes. Given all the lemon flavors, using a lemon peel for your garnish would be the best idea. If you feel like you would like to squeeze some fresh lemon right on top of your Harlequin cocktail, do so, but don’t change this cocktail too much, because then you may have to come up with a different name for it!
Now that you're finished making your Harlequin Cocktail, make sure you sit back, relax, and enjoy your fresh homemade cocktail. Make sure your friends are doing the same, and that they drink responsibly. Enjoy!
