To make an Income Tax cocktail, you will need:

  • A cocktail glass
  • A cocktail shaker
  • Ice
  • 1 1/2 oz. gin
  • 3/4 oz. orange juice
  • 3/4 oz. sweet vermouth
  • 3/4 oz. dry vermouth
  • A dash of bitters
  1. Prepare the cocktail shaker. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the gin, orange juice, sweet vermouth, dry vermouth and a generous dash of bitters. Adjust the amount of bitters to suit your taste.
  2. Shake and serve. Shake the mixture for about thirty seconds. Strain into a cocktail glass and serve immediately. You can garnish this drink with an orange slice on the rim of the glass if desired.
