How To Make Money In Porn

If you're wondering how to make money in porn, you may be surprised to discover that it's not as easy as it seems-especially if you are a man. If you thought that plowing your favorite porn stars was going to make you a rich man, you can forget about it. Porn is actually hard work for everyone involved, from the stars to the cameramen to the webmasters.

  1. Learn how to operate a camera or lighting equipment. Although these may not be porn's most glamorous careers, they are a couple of the most lucrative. You don't see these guys when you're watching your favorite porn, but even many of the most low-budget and amateur-looking films have professional cameramen and lighting technicians illuminating those hard-to-see spots. If your work is good and you're not too squeamish, you can make a lot of money in porn behind the scenes.
  2. Make your own amateur pornography. If you are more interested in starring in a porn than you are in making money in porn, then make your own amateur videos. If you film yourself and your girlfriend having sex, you can sell your home movie to a share site that will pay you a small sum (think less than a dollar) every time someone clicks on your masterpiece. Eventually those clicks add up. Don't get any ideas about filming someone who doesn't know what you're doing though-this could result in jail time.
  3. Don't do anything illegal. Speaking of jail time, breaking the law is definitely not a good way to make money in porn. If you film someone without her permission you could face both civil and criminal lawsuits. Even though the internet is full of free and pirated porn, you can't publish pictures or videos you don't own on your own website. Don't even think about making or selling any stuff with underaged performers. You don't want to end up both broke and on some sort of government list.
