How To Make A Paper Airplane That Flies Far
Paper planes can be fun to make, but they can become even more fun when you learn how to make a paper airplane that flies far. Being able to create a paper plane that will stay up in the air and fly a long distance takes some skill. If you know how to design the plane and fold it the right way then you will be able to develop this skill. Many people develop these types of planes and fly them in competitions, and others just fly them for fun. Here are a few easy steps that will help you to get started in making your paper plane.
To make a paper airplane that flies far, you will need:
- Use a flat surface to serve as the working location for your plane. Hold the paper so that it is vertically straight up and down. Fold the piece of paper in half so that there is a crease directly down the middle of it. The crease should be vertical and not horizontal. Open up your piece of paper so that it is vertical once again.
- Fold the top right corner of the paper to the middle crease. The corner should meet up and touch the middle of the paper. Fold the left side corner over so that it meets up with the middle as well. This will end up giving the top of the paper a triangular shape.
- Fold the right side of the airplane so that there is a double fold. Fold the left side of the airplane again so that there is a double fold. This should look like a triangle as well, except skinnier than the one in step two.
- Fold the paper in half using the crease that you created in step one. Hold onto the section of the paper that has the crease and fold over the right side of the paper so that a wing is created. Fold over the left side of the paper so that another wing is created.
Now that your airplane is created you are ready to test it out to see just how far it will fly.
