How To Make A Sake Cocktail

You're going to be enjoying something different when you learn how to make a Sake cocktail. Sake is a traditional Japanese alcoholic drink that mixes well a variety of juices and flavored liqueurs commonly used in cocktails.

Sake Cocktail

To make a Sake Cocktail, you will need:

  • 1 oz Absolut Citron
  • 1 oz Sake
  • 1 oz Midori Melon Liqueur
  1. Chill a cocktail glass. Rinse a favorite cocktail glass in clear water and place in the freezer while still wet. Chill for 30 to 60 minutes.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker. Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker and fill with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Oyama

To make a Oyama cocktail, you will need:

  • 1 1/2 ounce Gin
  • ½ ounce Triple Sec
  • 1 ounce Sake
  1. Chill a cocktail glass. Rinse a cocktail glass in clear water and place in the freezer while still wet. Chill for 30 to 60 minutes.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker. Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker and fill with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Bogomip

To make a Bogomip cocktail, you will need:

  • 1 ounce Coconut Milk
  • 5 parts Pink Lemonade
  • 2 ounces Sake
  1. Fill a tall cocktail glass with ice.
  2. Fill the cocktail glass. Pour Sake and Coconut Milk over the ice. Top with Pink Lemonade.
  3. Garnish with lemon twist.

Sake Martini

To make a Sake Martini, you will need:

  • ½ ounce Sake
  • 1 ½ ounces Gin
  1. Chill a martini glass. Rinse a favorite cocktail glass in clear water and place in the freezer while still wet. Chill for 30 to 60 minutes.
  2. Fill a mixing glass with ice.
  3. Pour the Gin and Sake over the ice and stir. Strain the Sake Martini into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a lemon slice.

Shinto

To make a Shinto cocktail, you will need:

  • 1 ounce Whiskey
  • 1 ounce Sake
  • 1/3 ounce Simple Syrup
  • 1 ounce Club Soda
  1. Fill a tall cocktail glass with ¾ full of ice.
  2. Pour simple syrup, Whiskey, and Sake over the ice. Top with club soda. Serve with a straw.

Tips: Simple syrup is made by combining 1 cup granulated sugar and 1 cup water in a saucepan and then heating a medium flame until the sugar is completely dissolved.
