To make a tennis ball cannon, you will need:

• 4 to 6 cans with same diameter and length
• duck tape or equivalent
• tennis ball
• fuel (such as lighter fluid)
• lighter

Steps

1. Prepare the cans. In this step, you can either use 4 to 6 cans connect together or a long tube like the PVC pipes, but PVC pipes would increase the cost of making the tennis ball cannon. For the cans, drill several holes at the bottom of the cans, make sure that you drill equal number of holes on each can. Drill a side hole on the last can.
2. Connect the cans to make the cannon. Put one can on top of the other and tape them at least three times with duck tape. Make sure that the can is sit nice and tight on top the each other, also make sure that the can with a side hole is on the bottom.
3. Test your tennis ball cannon. Put the tennis ball on one end of the cannon, the can without the side hole. Put a few drops of fuel on the other side of the tennis ball canon, the end with a side hole. Stick the lighter fluid in the side hole, and fire it up.

Tip:For greater distance of the tennis ball canon, make sure that the tennis ball is tightly fitted in the can. Fuel used in firing the tennis ball canon is extremely flammable. Make sure that you have adult supervisor before proceeding to firing the tennis ball canon.
