One of the key aspects of becoming an excellent soccer player is learning how to master, and learn, soccer moves and tricks that can be used during the course of a game. A soccer player's ability to learn tricks to incorporate into their repertoire can drastically alter what a player can offer their team. By following a few basic steps, any soccer player can master and learn soccer moves and tricks that he or she can add to their overall soccer game.

1. Keep your head up. The key to performing any move in soccer is to make sure that your head is up. A soccer player can better evaluate his or her position on the field when his or her head is kept up. The player can better see where the defense is and where their defender is moving. The player can also see the locations of his or her teammates on the field.
2. Practice the move mechanics. Any soccer move is made up of smaller parts and moves. A soccer player must practice these mechanics so that he or she can memorize the flow and muscle memory of the move.  By practicing the move, the player can more fluidly execute the soccer move or trick during the action of the game. 
3. Practice at game speed. Even if a soccer player is able to master and comprehensively practice the mechanics of their soccer moves, the true way to incorporate these moves into the flow of the game is to practice at game speed. The player should hold his or her head up, and make moves as if they were playing in a soccer game. Continue the sequence by increasing the speed of the move, as if you were cutting to the goal. Increases and decreases in speed as well as incorporating a move into normal dribbling will help a soccer player's mastery of any soccer move.  Having a friend play light defense will also prove to be helpful for the next time you enter a game situation.

It is important to understand that each soccer move and trick is made up of little parts, and that those parts must be mastered before being incorporated into the flow of a game.
