Mountain climbing is one of the oldest, most exciting and dangerous outdoor activities ever. Therefore, safety in this activity is highly significant, and for that, some of the things are required>

  1. First step to mountain climb safely is to achieve proper fitness through training and exercising. Get your body in proper shape and train your muscles to withstand the strain of mountain climbing. This activity tests your athletic abilities to the maximum extent and requires endurance skills from both your body and brain. So, be prepared physically and mentally.
  2. Research to find the proper location. If you are a beginner, choose an easy location to mountain climb safely. During your research for the location, look at different aspects like terrain of the mountain, region surrounding it, weather patterns and other hazards if any.
  3. Set up your safety gear. The gear should include all the necessary items you require in order to mountain climb safely. Harness and ropes are important in climbing as they save you from falling. Take some instant energy food with you that could provide you with energy when you are exhausted. First aid kit is always handy in emergencies. GPS device will prevent you from straying from the path. Water will keep your body hydrated, which is important in such exhaustive conditions. Other items that are optional are head lamp (if you plan to go in dark), ice axe, tent (if you plan to stay while climbing) etc.
  4. Bring along a professional climber or hire a mountain guide if not then try to climb in groups. This way there will always be someone in reach to help you if an emergency occur.
