To paint walls, you will need:

• Paint
• Primer
• A paint roller
• A paint tray
• A paint brush
• Painter's tape
• A plastic sheet

1. First, buy what you will need. Any home improvement store will have all of the above supplies.
2. Next, prepare for painting. Knowing where you want to paint, place painter's tape around the boundaries, and tape a plastic sheet at the bottom of the wall, above the molding if you do not wish to paint it, or below it otherwise, to prevent paint from getting on the floor. Also tape any corners where the paint will stop being used, and tape the ceiling above the wall, to prevent getting paint on it.
3. Apply the primer. Using the roller, roll the primer onto the wall thoroughly, using vertical rolling motions. Let this dry, and then move on.
4. Clean the paint roller, and pour some paint in the tray. Roll the paint, using up and down rolling motions, onto the wall evenly and thoroughly. Use the brush to get corners and edges and to paint other hard-to-reach spots and prevent over-painting the tape. Apply a second layer after the first one dries, if necessary.
5. Clean up after yourself, and enjoy your new wall! Repeat this process anywhere else, if you want.
