Many people do not know how to plan a dirt bike race. They may feel like all they need are some dirt bikes and people to ride them. This is not the case if you want to make your dirt bike race as entertaining as possible. Dirt bike racing has high intensity, action, and suspense. You want every aspect of your race to reflect this, so doing a little planning can go a long way. Here's how you can successfully plan a dirt bike race.
  1. Find people who love to race dirt bikes. You can't just ask any person to be in a dirt bike race. Sometimes, the risks can be great, so it is good to find someone who loved the sport just as much as you do. Make sure you make them fully aware of every aspect of the event, such as date, time, and fees. These people will more than likely have their own dirt bikes and equipment. If not, it is thoughtful of you to help them find resources in order to get their equipment.
  2. Advertise your race. Advertising can turn an intimate event to a jam packed bonanza, so pick your methods of advertising wisely. Try to advertise with relatively free media such as social networking sites and forums. In order to attract more people from around your area, advertise in newspapers and post signs, with permission of course,  at local businesses.
  3. Seek sponsorship. In order to make your dirt bike race as fun and eventful as possible, a lot of money will probably have to be spent. There will be several expenses that will cover the venue, paying racers, food, and incidentals. Write letters and call businesses relevant to dirt bike racing to see if they will sponsor you. Everyone basically benefits from sponsorship.
