- Practice hitting in baseball. Hitting in baseball is about keeping your eye on the ball and producing a quick swing. Hold the bat with your dominant hand over the other, keeping your hands around shoulder height. When the ball arrives, work on using a quick and smooth swing on the ball. Visit a batting cage to practice this.
- Read the rules of baseball. You can brush up on those that you are not aware of, however simple or technical. These are important if you don't know the basics of the game.
- Join a team or get involved in games with friends. The best way to learn how to play baseball is to play the game.
