How To Play Chopsticks On The Piano
Learning how to play Chopsticks on the piano doesn’t have to be difficult or complicated. This song is quite simple once you know how to begin and can be used again and again to impress your friends and family with your musical talent.
Find the group of black keys closest to the middle of the keyboard. Place your left forefinger on the white key just below (to the left) of this group of keys. Place your right forefinger on the white key above (to the right) of your left finger.
Play the two piano keys your fingers are on six times, then move your left finger down (to the left) one key. Play the piano keys six times, again, then move your left finger down one more key and your right finger up one key. Play six times again. This is the first section of Chopsticks on the piano.
For the first ending, move each finger out one piano key again (they will both be on a C note), and play the two piano keys four times. Move your fingers in one piano key, play once, in one more key, play the piano keys once. Then move in one key again and start at Step Two. You’ve just played the first half of Chopsticks on the piano.
After repeating Step Two, skip Step Three to play the second ending. Move each finger out one key, to C, and play it once. Pause for a second. Play your two starting notes followed quickly by the two Cs. And that’s how you play Chopsticks on the piano.
