- You are the leader of the team. The point guard is the leader of a basketball team. Understand your players' strengths and weaknesses in order to know whether to pass it to a shooter or post up man in favorable situations. Know the plays and your responsibilities on the court.
- Ball handling and passing are essential. On offense, you want to spend as much time developing your ball handling and passing skills. These are the most important abilities to harness on the offensive side of the ball.
