How To Play Stronghold 2

Knowing how to play "Stronghold 2" ensures you can complete any mission and defeat any enemy. From gathering items to fighting the big bad monsters of the land, command your troops and protect your castle in "Stronghold 2." Your villagers will thank you for coming to their rescue.

1. Learn the controls. As a computer game, "Stronghold 2" uses a lot of keyboard shortcuts to get your character moving out and about. Remember that your goal is not to walk around but to command your troops. Use the arrow keys or the A,S,W,D keys to move around the map and see where you need your troops in "Stronghold 2" to go. Press spacebar to see a top-down view of your area for a better idea of where you need to head.
2. Patience is a virtue. Your missions take time and planning to accomplish. Start by carefully reading what you need to do and then see if you have enough resources to complete the task. If not, focus on gathering resources, or the money to buy those resources. Then build up enough men to complete the mission. Finally, tackle your "Stronghold 2" mission with pride knowing you cannot fail.
3. Break it down. Often missions in "Stronghold 2" appear hard because they have multiple objectives. In reality, the objectives are often a clue. Consider the "Wolf Hunt" mission. It requires you to recruit twenty archers and eliminate all wolves. Instead of tackling both at once, recruit your archers first and then have them take out that pesky wolf pack.
4. Choose your path. At the beginning, you have the option of the path of peace or the path or war. Each includes twelve chapters to complete, but the missions vary. If fighting and destruction is your style, choose war. If you want to save your town choose peace. Either way, "Stronghold 2" leaves your fate resting in your hands.
