If you need to know how to play Wii sports online, the correct answer is to wait. Older versions of the game do not allow for online play. Nintendo is working on correcting this oversight.  If you are looking for an emulator that lets you play the game online, read on to find out how.

Things You Need to Play Wii Sports Online

  • Patience
  • Java 6.0 or Higher
  • Adobe Macromedia Player
  • Software that Synchronizes Your PC to the Wii

To Play Wii Sports Online

  1. Find a program that emulates Wii sports. Anyone who can use a search engine knows how to do this quickly and simply. If you do not yet know how to use search engines, you do not belong in the digital age.
  2. Download the emulator to play Wii Sports on the Internet. Many flash games offer Internet play. If you want to play these games your Wii, you need to synchronize the console with your PC.  Nintendo’s browser does not support Java on its own.
  3. Go to the website and let the program load. If the clone supports the feature, you can challenge other players to the games. Use the mouse or the Wiimote depending on how you have the game setup.

Older versions of Wii Sports did not include code for online play. Many Nintendo Wii games skip this feature, although a few have added the option for online play without going through an official Nintendo service. As far as problems with the Wii go, the lack of online play does not bother hardcore gamers as much as the overabundance of casual games available for the console.
