If you are not sure how to put on a condom, it can quickly take the passion out of an intimate, steamy moment. Learning just how to put on a condom can keep the passion flowing without any interruptions. Condoms are a good way to help prevent the transmission of certain sexually transmitted diseases such as the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Laboratory studies have shown that latex condoms are an effective barrier against the smallest sexually transmitted pathogens. They can also help prevent pregnancy. Condoms are one of the most reliable forms of  birth control. You should use a condom every time you have sex and never use the same condom twice. Learning how to use a condom only takes moments of your time.

  1. Take the condom and hold the tip of it with your thumb and index finger.
  2. Leave some space at the tip of it. Generally a half inch of space is good enough. This space is intended to hold your ejaculation.
  3. With your other hand, place the condom onto the head of your penis. Make sure the rolls are facing out and up. If you are not circumcised, pull back the foreskin of your penis before you begin rolling on the condom.
  4. Smooth out any air bubbles you see. If there is an air bubble, it can cause the condom to break.
  5. Unroll the condom all the way down your erect penis. Be sure you roll it down as far as it will go.
