Even the iPhone has its problems, so knowing exactly how to reboot iPhone can be very useful. The iPhone can be used for a variety of things like a communication device, music player, video player and other things. Therefore, it is understandable that it may need to be rebooted from time to time. This is something that happens to tons of electronic devices and this does not mean that it is broken. You just need to reboot it so that it can get back to functioning properly. The steps below will help you learn exactly how to do this.

To reboot an iPhone, you will need:

  • An iPhone
  1. Completely turn off your iPhone, by holding down the power button with your finger. You can find this button on the top of your phone to the right. Do this for around ten seconds until the red slide bar appears on your iPhone screen. Move the slide bar over to the off position. Hold the power button down for a few seconds to turn your iPhone back on.
  2. Sometimes just turning the phone off may not work. This happens in cases when your iPhone locks. You can reboot the phone by holding down the power and home button at the same time for ten seconds again. Your iPhone's screen will go completely blank and then it will boot up by itself again.

By rebooting an iPhone you may lose some settings so once it is back on and working you can check to see if things are still the same way that you left them before the reboot.
