  4. Relaxing is actually done by first applying tension. You are now ready to relax your abdominal muscles. As you begin to inhale again pull in your abdominal muscles as if you are pulling your belly button into your spine. Hold this contraction for a count of five, then exhale. This movement completely relaxes your abdominal muscles. Repeat this movement until you feel you are totally relaxed. You will be amazed by the benefits.
Relaxation of muscles is just as important as contracting them in exercise. Without relaxation, muscles can be pulled or torn during workout sessions.
