Learning how to remove genital warts at home can be done by the use of certain medical applications. Caused by the Human Papilloma Virus, it is best to get a diagnosis as to whether or not what you have is HPV, and then you can seek to remove them, and take medications that prevent outbreaks. Following is some advice on how to remove genital warts at home.

What You Need:

  • Topical medication, prescribed
  • Cryotherapy treatment
  • Chemical peel TCA
  1. After you have been diagnosed with HPV, which causes the warts (unfortunately, the virus does not go away, but wart outbreaks may vary in intensity and frequency), you can begin treatment.
  2. Ask your physician about any topical medication. Certain creams or gels are often successful at limiting or preventing wart outbreaks, and at removing warts that you have. These may be applied at home, so try the one that your doctor recommends before moving on.
  3. Buy at-home cryotherapy treatment, which freezes warts away. You can have freeze-away wart remover prescribed, or it can be bought at stores, where it is sold by manufacturers like Dr. Scholl's. Try this out, and see if it is efficient at removing genital warts.
  4. Another technique that works is the application of a chemical peel solution. TCA is an acid that is great at removing warts, scars, and uneven pigmentation, and it may be applied at home. Order a TCA peel of up to 20% Trichloroacetic acid, and give it a try. Swab this on the warts, wait for up to one minute, and then wipe the acid off, and wash the area. This will cause the wart to fall off as the skin peels.

The above techniques are great for anyone trying to learn how to remove genital warts at home. Take your time with each application to see whether or not it works before moving on, and always consult your doctor to make sure that everything that you are doing is safe.
