How To Remove The Tip From A Meucci Pool Stick

Learning how to remove the tip from a Meucci pool stick is essential when it comes time to replace the tip. When the tip has worn down, this is simple process to get your Meucci pool stick ready for action. Here is the process that you should undertake when removing the tip, prior to placing a new tip on the pool stick.

In order to remove the tip, you will need:

  • Meucci pool stick
  • Utility knife
  • Sandpaper
  • A hard, flat surface
  1. Place the Meucci pool stick on a hard and flat surface. If you are using your pool table, make sure you put something (such as a cutting board) in between the cue and the table so as to not damage the table. Make sure the cue stick is not able to move easy, holding it with your off hand.
  2. Cut off the tip. You will cut off the tip where the ferrule ends, which is the white area towards the base of the tip. Use the utility knife to cut it as cleanly as possible. Do not cut into the ferrule, as this can damage the stick.
  3. Ensure the end of the ferrule is completely flat. Prior to installing the new tip, the surface must obviously be flat. Using sandpaper if necessary, make sure the base on the end of the ferrule is flat.
  4. Prepare for the next stage. At this point you have removed the tip from your Meucci pool stick. You will now be ready to install a new tip for use.
