So you would need a one bedroom or what ever your specific situation is.
4. Narrow down your search based on your research.  Now that you know what you need in an apartment, get a newspaper or magazine that  has apartment listings in it and look for what is the most affordable apartment within your criteria. You'll find newspapera and magazines at many different locations.

There are also popular web sites that regularly lists apartments and give a rough idea of what they offer for an affordable apartment. You can either email or call the number they have listed on the ad, and go from there. Be cautious either way, sometimes an ad or deal is not what it seems.
