Replacing the edging on a snowboard takes few tools and no time at all. This article will explain the steps to replace the edge on a snowboard. Things you will need to do this:

  • Snowboard
  • Snowboard edging
  • Epoxy
  • Snowboard tool or flat head screw driver
  • Towel
  • Rubbing alcohol

How to replace edging on a snowboard:

  1. Using the snowboard tool or flat tip screwdriver, gently pry under the edging at any point. Work around the perimeter of the snowboard, removing the edging along the way. Once all the edging is remove, discard it.
  2. Wet the towel with the rubbing alcohol and use it to clean around the edge. Be thorough and dig into the grooves. Allow a few minutes to dry. Beginning at the toe of the board, apply a small amount of epoxy in the groove.
  3. Work the edging into the side of the snowboard over the epoxy. Place epoxy in front of the edging as you work around the snowboard. When complete, use the towel to pie down and clean around the edging. Allow forty-eight hours for the epoxy to adhere and dry.
