To replace wheel bearings on a skateboard, you will need:

  • Skateboard
  • Skateboard tool of ½ inch wrench
  • Bearings

How to replace wheel bearings on a skateboard:

  1. Place the skateboard deck down, wheels up. Using the skateboard tool, remove the nuts from the wheel. This is what holds the wheel to the truck. Do this for all four wheels and set them and the nut down on a flat surface.
  2. Using the skateboard tool, gently remove the bearing from the wheel. Once out, discard each old bearing. Using your thumb, place the bearing into the wheel and seat it.
  3. Do this for all four wheels. Then replace the wheel onto the truck. Secure the truck nut and test the spin of each wheel.
