Do you want to know how to reset a Samsonite Omega GI briefcase combination? It's irritating when you cannot get into your own luggage. If you forgot your combination and you do not want to break into your Samsonite Omega GI briefcase, it's a good thing there is a simple way to reset your Samsonite Omega GI briefcase lock combination.

Things you will need

  • Samsonite Omega GI briefcase
  • Lock on your briefcase
  • New combination
  1. Before you reset your Samsonite Omega GI briefcase combination, you will have to come up with a new three-digit code as your combination. Think about a code that will be easy for you to remember. This way you will not have the same (lock out) problem with your Samsonite Omega GI briefcase in the future.
  2. Take a hold of your Samsonite Omega GI briefcase. Turn the briefcase so you can see the combination lock. Turn each of the numbers to zero. This means three zeros in a row. Now you are ready to reset your Samsonite Omega GI briefcase combination.
  3. Rotate the shackle halfway around (180 degrees) and push it as far as possible. You will know when you did this because the shackle will stop.
  4. While holding the shackle depressed, turn it one quarter turn (90 degrees). Now set the dials to your three-digit combination. This is the combination you came up with in step one. Put this combination into the dials of your Samsonite Omega GI briefcase lock.
  5. Turn shackle to 180 degrees position, lift and return to closed position. Scramble the dials to lock your Samsonite Omega GI briefcase. Your Samsonite Omega GI briefcase is now locked again, but your three digit combination has been entered.
  6. Turn the dials to your three-digit combination to open your Samsonite Omega GI briefcase. You have finished resetting your Samsonite Omega GI briefcase combination. Make sure you write the combination down in a safe place just in case you happen to forget it.
